I believe therapy should feel human, not clinical or performative. I am not a white coat clinician. My space is meant to make you feel safe, comfortable, and like you’re at home.
My work combines EMDR, somatic therapy, and trauma-informed care to support both the mind and nervous system
Sessions are tailored to your pace, your story, and what safety looks like for your nervous system
I work to create a space where you can slow down, exhale, and stop surviving long enough to actually heal
This work is deeply personal to me, and I show up fully for the people I work with

Counseling is an investment. I recognize the impact that has on my clients budget. I get asked regularly….”Why don’t you accept insurance?”
Here are just a few reasons I do not…
1) Counseling is meant to be private, confidential and safe. Did you know that in order to take insurance I will need to share your personal information with the insurance company? I work diligently to ensure the safety and confidentiality of my clients. Sharing your info goes against my ethical practices.
2) As a Marriage and Family Therapist, I am not ethically able to diagnose you. For insurance to cover counseling, I would need to provide a diagnosis, even if you’re just grieving and needing to talk through and process the loss, of if they are just wanting to get in touch with themselves and their emotions a bit deeper…Gotta have a diagnosis. This diagnosis stays on your medical record. You deserve more than a diagnosis!
3) THEY (insurance) decide your treatment for me. They will decide how many sessions you can have, frequency, etc. I want my clients to have the freedom to choose what is best for them, not a company who is disconnected from their experience.
Finally, as a small business owner, they determine when I get paid and how much. I may not get paid for months if they do not agree with the treatment plan and goals we work on together.
That said, I can provide a Superbill to every client in order to submit for reimbursement for services out of pocket. If cost is ever a barrier for treatment I love the open dialog and ability to help my clients where I am able. Please reach out and lets talk about what I can do to help!
