Specialized, Trauma‑Informed Care
Trauma-informed care matters because trauma changes how the brain, body, and relationships function. When therapy recognizes those changes, treatment is safer, more effective, and respectful of your experience. As an EMDR‑certified Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist, I combine trauma‑informed approaches — EMDR, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy (EFIT), and somatic methods — to address the full impact of trauma: intrusive memories, heightened anxiety, body-based stress responses, betrayal wounds, and patterns that keep repeating in relationships and daily life.
Why this approach helps
Targets anxiety and trauma symptoms: EMDR helps process distressing memories and reduce the power of intrusive images, thoughts, and sensations that underlie chronic anxiety and trauma reactions.
Restores emotional awareness: EFIT and IFS deepen access to feelings and internal parts, helping you identify, name, and work with emotions that were previously overwhelming or split off.
Resolves betrayal and relational wounds: Betrayal trauma requires careful, attuned work. Trauma‑informed care creates safety for exploring trust violations, repairing attachment dynamics, and rebuilding authentic connection.
A Space to Feel Supported
Life changes in ways we don’t expect — becoming a parent, going through divorce, grieving, or facing work stress — or just pretending everything’s fine while feeling overwhelmed. If you’re in a difficult time, you don’t have to go through it alone. In my calm, welcoming space, I invite you to slow down, feel safe, and start reconnecting with yourself.
